E-mail notification – Windows 11 Mail

E-mail service with automatic notification. Once you've added any or more email accounts to Windows 10 Mail application, it regularly checks your mailbox and automatically notifies you of incoming emails.

Quick Tip: With the Mail feature built into Windows 11, you can connect added email accounts and merge multiple email accounts, such as Yahoo, G-mail, and more.

The description of using the email service in Windows 11 consists of several parts. You can click on the link that interests you most:

1.) – PART ONE: Adding a new account.

A.) – Click the Windows -Logo icon on the taskbar.

B.) – In the window that appears, click the Mail icon (blue envelope icon).

C.) – In the Add Account window that appears, click the Other POP Account, IMAP link.

D.) – In the new window that appears, enter the e-mail address and enter the corresponding password. Enter a name on the middle line (for example: John or Mary). This name will be automatically added to the message you send. Finally, click Sign in.

E.) – After checking the e-mail service the validity of the e-mail address entered, the messages will appear on the right side of the window.

2.) – PART TWO: Adding more accounts.

A.) – Use the method above to open the messaging service window (Windows -Logo / blue envelope), then click the Settings icon (small wheel icon) at the bottom of the window.

B.) – In the Mail application window, on the right, a panel with additional settings will appear. Click the Manage accounts link at the top.

C.) – Click the + Add account link at the bottom.

D.) – Another window will appear. Click the Other POP Account, IMAP link.

E.) – In the new window, enter the e-mail address and enter the corresponding password. Enter a name on the middle line (for example: John or Mary). This name will be automatically added to the message you send. Finally, click Sign in.

F.) – A new account has appeared under the first account created.

3.) – PART THREE: Deleting an account or several accounts.

A.) – Use the method above to open the messaging service window (Windows -Logo / blue envelope), then click the Settings icon (small wheel icon) at the bottom of the window.

B.) – In the Mail application window, on the right, a panel with additional settings will appear. Click the Manage accounts link at the top.

C.) – In the next window select the account you want to delete.

D.) – A new window will appear in which you can click the Delete account link, then click Save to confirm the deletion. Do not click any other button.

The account will be deleted in an instant. Follow the same steps to delete another account, or all of them.


4.) – PART FOUR: SPAM Folder and Notification Activation

Spam Folder:

Windows 11 Mail, like other applications, stores some messages that it thinks are junk in the Junk Mail folder, but it may be an important message, so it's a good idea to check this folder sometimes. Click the More link on the left side of the window and click the Junk Mail button in the settings window on the right to find messages that the system deems harmful or unwanted.

Activate Notifications:

Windows -Mail has a very useful feature, which is disabled by default, but you can easily enable it to receive notification when a new message arrives. Click the Settings icon (small wheel icon) in the left pane of the Mail application that opens. In the Options panel that appears, click the Notifications link, and in the new window, select the check box next to the Play a sound entry. Ready. Then, when an email arrives in the added account, the system sends an audible alert from which you will immediately know the arrival of the new email, so you can respond immediately if necessary.

5.) – PART FIVE: Change background image.

A.) – Windows 11 Mail can be configured in its entirety to your liking by clicking the Settings icon (small wheel icon) at the bottom of the window.

B.) – In the settings panel on the right, click the Personalization link to change colors.

C.) – To add a custom image, click the Browse button, then in the Explorer window that appears, select the image on your computer that you want to see as a background in the Mail application.

6.) – PART SIX: Errors and repairs.

  1. Failed to connect: Check again if you have entered your email or password correctly.
  2. Does not work: If you disable Microsoft access to the calendar application, the email application will not work.
  3. Update your mail: If you have a problem, update your Windows system and Mail with it. Press Windows Logo + I to open the Settings app. Look for the Update & Security icon and click it. Then, in the new window, click the Update link on the right, above.
  4. Email does not work: There may be an Internet connection error. The problem can be solved if the Internet connection is disabled for a few minutes, then enable the connection and try again.
  5. Finally: Try a system restore when the e-mail program worked fine. System Restore Point...
